Our 17th May Event in Marbella centre- A roaring Success.
Last Friday’s event in Marbella’s Old Town was really interesting for both teachers and students alike. We all enjoyed a stroll in the centre and visited places like: ‘La Cruz de Humilladero’ Cross, The Fishermen’s Quarter, and the ‘Encarnación’ Church.
One interesting place visited was the ‘Cofradía del Cristo del Amor’ Association in the Orange Square. Señor D. Manuel Gómez, member of the association and one of the founder member’s son, showed us the chapel and talked about the history of the association.
Despite the rain, we kept to the itinarary and we all enjoyed the emblematic places in the heart of the town.
Afterwards the group enjoyed some ‘tapas’ at the Tomasa Tavern. Originally we had hoped to sing and dance flamenco, however this had to be postponed until the Real Madrid- Atletico Madrid match, which was being televised, had finished. The ‘fiesta’ went on until our bodies could take no more.
However, we believe that some members in the group wanted more…………. So follow our blog and social network to find out about similar events in the future.
